About Me

Professionally

I am a South African trained and qualified senior psychologist working as a mental health professional within the Irish Health and disability sector.  I am a Chartered member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI), and a pre-accredited member of Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP).

I have a strong background in Adult Mental Health, Early Services, HIV/ AIDS Counselling, as well as Psychotherapy and Counselling. My clinical skills span across diverse work with a population presenting with dual diagnosis, intellectual disability, and mental health issues. I have experience working with clients across the lifespan from 5 years of age to 80s.

I have experience in working with a wide range of issues, not limited to depression, anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship difficulties, loss and bereavement, trauma and work or academic stressors.

Personally

In school, always finding myself the confidante of friends and my natural curiosity about people, I decided to become a psychologist. The opportunities to travel and work in various parts of the world, meet souls that have contributed to my life in meaningful ways, has strengthened my belief in the human spirit and my choice of career path.

After training in South Africa, I moved to the wonderful island of New Zealand and finally settled in the welcoming island of Ireland, with my husband.

I identify as cisgendered and use the pronouns she/her.
